SFF: Freak Me Out Disco @ Lower Town Hall

SYDNEY FILM FESTIVAL is here, and over the weekend they’re putting together two stellar parties to get all you film buffs out of the darkness of a screening room and into the social awkwardness of disco-tech. Party one: Freak Me Out Disco.

So what is Freak Me Out Disco I hear you ask? Well:

Richard Kuipers plays cult movie tunes that would make Tarantino blush in this Dance-a-Rama Disco From Hell!

Do the George Romero zombie shuffle, join in a Wicker Man fertility dance, pirouette like a Suspiria ballerina and get down like Jamie Lee in prom night! All hell breaks loose in the Freak Me Out Disco! Richard Kuipers – the genre maestro behind the SFF Freak Me Out program – returns behind the decks following the success of last year’s wild Cambodian Psychedelic Rock Party.

Get ready for some rare ’60s garage punk, screaming RnB, spaghetti-western killers, Italian Giallo and insane rockabilly obscurities bound to rock the Town Hall foundations.
