ANZAC Day at The Vic, Enmore
To honour and remember our fallen heroes collectively known at the ANZACS, The Vic Enmore will be hosting their first ever ANZAC Day celebration on April 25th with live music courtesy of Spurs For Jesus and Handsome Young Strangers, rotisserie meats, Anzac bickies and the biggest game of 2 Up in the Inner West – hosted by Dan and Matt Rule (of The Annandale Hotel, Annandale).
Twelve years ago The Rule Brothers, Spurs For Jesus and The Handsome Young Strangers started a cult institution at The Annandale for their cowboy-punk ANZAC day parties. This year starts a new chapter for the landmark event as they relocate to The Vic’s new outdoor venue – The Projects.
This year bands will play alongside one of the biggest games of 2 Up with a sea of patriotic fans.
The Projects is located in The Vic Enmore’s abandoned carpark, described as “The Inner West’s unofficial home of street art, 3 on 3 basketball, car park bands and creative happenings.”
The Projects host designer markets, bike swap meets, live music, open-air cinema, street art, a mini ramp, half-court basketball and creative workshops.
It all sounds like a blast, so if our opinion means anything to you should head along, and if it means nothing to you you should just go anyway. Rebel.
