I love when someone is completely out of breathe when they are accepting their award. And can you imagine anyone 5 years ago thanking Ben Affleck in their Oscar’s speech? Nope, me neither. How times have changed.

Steven Spielberg, Lincoln
Michael Haneke, Amour
Benh Zeitlin, Beasts of the Southern Wild
Ang Lee, Life of Pi (Winner)

So given that Affleck and Bigelow weren’t nominated it had to go to someone else, and I guess if your going to give it to anyone, might as well throw it to the person that had to do the most, and Life Of Pi NEEDED someone who knew what they were doing. And besides foriegners always give the best acceptence speeches because they don’t seem to expect, or think they need it as much. Oh, and his wife is hilarious and I want to friend her. Now.

Daniel Day-Lewis, Lincoln (Winner)

The comedian? It’s is strange to see him crack funnies considering he is basically only the most serious person in every movie. You read stories of his ‘Method Actor’ ways so this was nice to see him be light getting this award.

Les Misérables
Life of Pi
Amour
Django Unchained

Ok so Michelle Obama decided to help present the award? Why? Cause the Obama’s love Hollywood? Affleck finally got up and talked too fast, but I assume he gave a nice speech cause he was starting to cry at the end.
